UC Crew - St Helens Graffiti Art Class

UC Crew / Power by Hip Hop worked with young people from the St Helens Youth Justice Service on a community project to improve and bighten up the community using colourful Graffiti Art.

St Helens Graffiti Art Class

Young people worked with Graffiti Art teacher Sie (Kingsyze) to come up with an inviting family-friendly art mural, which would excite visitors attending Sexton Avenue allotment.

St Helens Graffiti Art Workshop

Young people attended the afternoon sessions with staff from the St Helens Youth Justice service to learn new skills and try activities that aren’t commonly open to everyone. A few young people discovered that they had a talent for art murals and also found it relaxing.

Volunteers at Sexton Avenue allotment are amazed by the art work created by the young people and can’t wait for them to attend again.

Graffiti Artist for hire

The Community Foundation for Merseyside and Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership funded the young people’s workshops to provide everyone with the opportunity to get involved.

The aim of our Hip Hop Shield Project is to provide activities to engage young people in diversionary activities away from crime/anti-social behaviour or avoid being a victim of crime/anti-social behaviour by attending safe youth activities.
