St Helens Graffiti Art Class

Teenage girls and young women attended our Graffiti Art Class to learn the history, fundamentals and rules of graffiti art (e.g. graffiti vs vandalism). They enjoyed finding styles, fonts, colours and artists that matched their personalities and interests.

The second part of the class was to use Graffiti Art on 3D letters to create a 3D Graffiti Art Mural which incorporates the colours, designs and styles of all the girls that attended the class.

The Graffiti Art Class was lead by Sie from Kingsyze and supported by volunteers.

The Community Foundation for Merseyside and Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership funded the young people’s workshops to provide everyone with the opportunity to get involved.

The aim of our Hip Hop Shield Project is to provide activities to engage young people in diversionary activities away from crime/anti-social behaviour or avoid being a victim of crime/anti-social behaviour by attending safe youth activities.
