UK Break Dance / Breaking Reference Book - Book launch in St Helens, Merseyside

Members of Merseyside’s Break Dancing team Powered by Hip Hop / UC Crew held a book launch at St Helens Library based in the World of Glass.

The head coach Tom Glynn of Powered by Hip Hop / UC Crew was co-author of the UK’s Breaking (Break Dance) reference book, the UK Breakin - Glossary of Terms, which is used as a syllabus for teachers, coaches and students as well s a reference book for the academic study of Breaking in sports, art and cultural studies.

St Helens Dancers and Breakers at the World of Glass

Along with the book launch, children and young people attended Breaking, Photography and Hip Hop arts workshops with talented industry professionals to prepare them for the St Helens Jubilee Jam happening on Sunday 5th June at St Helens Sea Cadets.
