Tom Glynn has been shortlisted for a Liverpool City Region Culture and Creativity Award!

Tom has been shortlisted for his work during 2023 in bringing Eurovision Events to St Helens. He put his unique twist on these events to ensure that stayed true to our values and incorporated Hip-Hop culture.

These included the Eurovision Break Dancing Championships at St Helens Town Centre, a research project into how Break Dancing has been incorporated into Eurovision performances/events since 1956, exploring the unique sounds from the Eurovision Countries, creating music with industry artists and attending workshops with Ukrainian dancers/musicians.

He also organised a Hip Hop heritage programme to uncover the town’s hidden history of Graffiti Artists and internationally recognised musicians, these being Chad Jackson, DJ Rasp, Tommy Pnuts, The Shakti, Ashleigh Nugent and the Surgeon.

The team are ecstatic that Tom has been shortlisted alongside so many of our amazing Borough of the Year Stars including Fay Lamb–Wonderarts, Cath Shea and Laura-Kate Pontefract.
