Break Dancing in Rainford with UC Crew / Powered by Hip Hop

We brought a Break Dancing to Rainford Brownies in February 2022!

The special workshops funded by the Community Foundation of Merseyside and Merseyside VRP, were part of a project to provide Hip Hop activities to young people who could become victims of youth crime, bullying or anti-social behaviour.

There is a lack of youth provision in Rainford to provide young people with alternative activities seven days a week and many teens, have never experienced Hip Hop activities or attended a workshop.

The 30 young women who attended the workshop, had an amazing time learning new movements, listening to the music and learning about its cultural history. Five of the attendees attended follow-up activities with UC Crew in St Helens town centre and thought it was a great additional hobby, alongside brownies.
